Aquatica – By Sea World, the most anticipated opening in Orlando this year has finally arrived. SeaWorld’s water park known as Aquatica is now officially up and running and it offers the newest water rides in Central Florida. The park is just across the street from SeaWorld and if you’re planning to park hop it’s filled with attractions for all ages, many dining facilities, and plentiful markets with the coolest souvenirs and beachwear. Be sure to check out fun-filled rides known as the Dolphin Plunge and Roa’s Rapids. Wet ‘n Wild Orlando offers another option outside of the major theme parks. This park is well known world-wide and conveniently located here in Orlando on International Drive. Though Wet ‘n Wild is a less expensive option, it is also one of the most frequently visited water parks by tourists and locals, meaning you’ll be waiting in lines for quite some time. They have begun to update the park water rides and add new adventures over the past couple of years, introducing the group ride Disco H2O and the newest thrill seeker, The Black Hole. For those, young at heart and opting for the less heart pounding type of fun, there’s still the original favorites known as The Lazy River and The Wave Pool. There’s even a kiddie pool for toddlers and parents. No matter the age of those in your party, there’s fun for everyone at Wet ‘n Wild!
Disney World Orlando features two water parks: Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon and they both come highly recommended. Blizzard Beach was created around the idea of a snow-ski resort so, if you northerners are feeling a bit home sick you may want to visit the inviting and familiar scenery. Here you’ll be able to race down eight slick lanes at the Tobbogan Racer or you can join the rest of the family down the world’s longest family raft ride known as Teamboat Springs. If you’ve had enough of the snowy scenery and simply want the feel of the tropics, then you’ll want to submerge yourself into the waters at Typhoon Lagoon. Take the plunge and snorkel with the sharks and other tropical fish for a mild but wild thrill at the park. Castaway Creek offers you 2,000 feet of fun as it winds through a fabulous journey of the water park as well.
