The Disney Wide World of Sports will be hosting the 2009 Soccer Showcase Qualifier on September 5th to 7th. This event is hosted by the Chelsea Football Club.
The Disney Soccer Showcase annually includes top boys and girls club teams in 14 age groups. The event also includes the Adidas Super Group, which features the U.S. Men’s National Team, U.S. Youth Soccer’s ODP Boy’s Regional Teams, and international youth squads from as far as Europe to Asia. The top two finishers of each age group will earn a land into Disney’s Junior Soccer Showcase in November or The Disney Soccer Showcase in December. All of the winners will be guaranteed a spot in the top flight. Awards will be presented to the 1st – 4th place teams for groups of players that are 7 or more. Awards will be presented to the teams of 6 or fewer players for 1st and 2nd place.

Spread over 220 acres at the Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Wide World of Sports complex plays host to more than 170 teams each year for professional and amateur athletes in over 30 sports. The state of the art facility includes multiple venues and is the home to more than 40 Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) National Championships, Atlanta Braves Spring training, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Training Camp, the Sports Experience interactive area, and the All Star Café sports themed restaurant. Disney Soccer Showcase Lodging Accommodations
Disney Hotels are fairly close to the Wide World Of Sports complex but will require a shuttle service to get to the tournament or event. Other lodging accommodations options are vacation rentals in the immediate area around the sports location. Housing of teams can be in 1-2 or 3 neighboring vacation homes, condos or town homes, from 2 to 8 bedrooms large.
